HAKI AS celebrate first oil delivered by Johan Sverdrup field
The team at HAKI AS were delighted to attend an event hosted by client Equinor for all sub-suppliers to Johan Sverdrup, to celebrate the field coming on stream in October – a major milestone for the impressive offshore oil and gas project.
HAKI AS delivered more than 450 tonnes of HAKI Universal Aluminium to the Johan Sverdrup project since 2018, under the instruction of major contractor Kværner Stord. The lightweight scaffolding and access solutions enabled contracted works to be carried out through safe systems of work and provided benefits in adaptability, quality and storage.
The Johan Sverdrup field is a technological triumph and a milestone for the Norwegian oil industry. As the third largest oil field ever, it is now supplying the world with energy, and creating value for society, producing at 200,000 barrels per day, with expectations to increase production to 440,000 barrels per day in Phase 1.
HAKI is very proud to have contributed to this incredible project. We have learned a lot from being a part of this and we look forward to delivering more scaffolding solutions during the next phase of the Johan Sverdrup project.”
