HAKI showcases at Scaffolding Association Queensland AGM
HAKI was delighted to be given the opportunity to present at this year’s Scaffolding Association Queensland (SAQ) Annual General Meeting.
Approximately 100 delegates from SAQ members gathered for the AGM on the 5 August, which was held at the Brisbane International Virginia Conference Centre. Attendees heard from several inspiring speakers throughout the day on a series of important topics for the scaffolding industry, including talks from HAKI, Urbis, PlanGrid, Body Leadership Australia, Ergodyne, MDT Business Advisory, Hilti Australia, and Prime Steel.
Mick Allen, Technical Sales Representative for HAKI Australia, presented the importance of safety, quality, adaptability, and partnerships in the scaffolding industry. The session particularly covered HAKI’s safe systems of work, value-added services and commitments to making solid long-term partnerships, using the example of our relationship with local contractor, NJS Australia.
Exhibiting at the event also gave HAKI the chance to discuss the features and benefits of our solutions in more detail with attendees.
HAKI has been a proud full member of the SAQ since May 2019, supporting professional, safe working practices and conditions in the region. More recently, we have been working actively with the association after a safety alert was distributed on 1.5m construction stair towers (not HAKI) adjacent with 2m scaffold decks, due to a step down or vertical clearance. Speaking to members at the earlier SAQ meeting on 17 June, HAKI emphasised the safety benefit of flush landings provided by the HAKI Symmetrical Stair Tower – overcoming the issue highlighted by the association.
